High Point meets Hollywood; one director's big dream comes to life on the big screen

Campus welcomes Presidential Scholarship candidates

High Point University is set to host two weekends in the coming weeks to introduce highly qualified high school seniors to the campus. The weekends, designed to attract top students and reward them for achievement in high school, standardized tests, community involvement and other relevant areas, will be held Feb.

Women's Film Series resumes with 'Romance at HPU'

The "Turn Down the Lights/Turn Up the Volume" women's film series, sponsored in part by the Nido R. Qubein School of Communication, resumes on Feb. 11 at 7 p.m. in the Extraordinaire Theatre. The series is in its inaugural year, and had two events in the fall semester.

Sophomore Lonon receives Gates Millennium Scholarship

High Point University sophomore Erin Lonon knows what it takes to be a Gates Millennium Scholar. Service, leadership, and academic achievement set her apart in becoming a recipient of a full tuition scholarship to the university of her choice. For Lonon, HPU was an easy decision.

Respected administrator Dr. Roy Epperson passes on, friends remember

Known for his love of God, the arts, teaching, camaraderie and High Point University, Dr. Edward Roy Epperson lived 78 fulfilling years. On Jan. 21, he passed away in his home. Dr. Epperson's faith was evident to those who knew him. According to his obituary, he was a devoted member of Christ United Methodist Church.

Sunny skies, surfing, snakes--studying abroad
